Ranchi, March 12 -- BJP led NDA candidate Pradeep Verma and INDIA bloc JMM nominee Sarfaraz Ahmad are set to get elected unopposed to the Rajya Sabha. Both the candidates filed their nomination today. As the deadline for filing nominations for two seats ended today, it is very likely that both candidates will win the election unopposed. The election for two seats of Rajya Sabha will be held on March 21.

On Monday both the candidates reached the Assembly with their leaders. Seventy-year-old Ahmad, a former JMM MLA, was accompanied by Chief Minister Champai Soren, state minister Alamgir Alam of the Congress, minister Satyanand Bhokta of the RJD and CPI (ML) L legislator Vinod Singh to the electoral office at Jharkhand Assembly.
