New Delhi, May 1 -- To mitigate air pollution in the New Delhi area, the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) has deployed a fleet of 08 anti smog gun on all its avenue roads on hiring basis. The move will help to strengthen anti- pollution efforts and make the environment more livable in the NDMC area. These Smog Guns are GPS enabled and will be operating on main roads of the New Delhi area from 0800 hrs to 1600 hrs. These smog guns covered 360 km roads, lanes on a per day basis.
The hiring cost of these guns amounts to 2.87 crore for a two-year period. Each gun is operated by a team comprising one HMV driver, one operator, and one helper.
