New Delhi, March 12 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi is all set to inaugurate a major section of the Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor (EDFC) from New Khurja Junction to Sanehwal of 401 km long corridor and Western Dedicated Freight Corridor (WDFC) from New Makarpura Jn to New Gholvad section, spanning 244 km on Tuesday.

While the EDFC will bolster connectivity across key agricultural and industrial hubs in North India, spanning through 12 districts in Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, and Punjab, WDFC will connect five districts, Vadodara, Bharuch ,Surat, Navsari, and Valsad.
