Ranchi, May 17 -- With the temperature in Ranchi touching almost 40 degree Celsius, there seems to be no respite for the city residents. As per The Meteorological Centre, Ranchi mercury levels are set to further rise by two- three degree Celsius in the next few days.

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), Ranchi has also issued a heat wave warning for Sahibganj, Godda, Pakur, Deoghar, Jamtara and Dumka for May 18. Additionally, Palamu, Garhwa, Chatra will experience a heat wave on May 19. Giridih, Dhanbad, Bokaro, East Singhbhum, West Singhbhum, Seraikela- Kharsawan and areas around the State capital will experience heat wave on May 20.
