KENDRAPADA, Feb. 11 -- The Vigilance police on Saturday caught Niranjan Ati, Headmaster of Kendrapada Government High School in Kendrapada district, while accepting a bribe of Rs 5,000 from a school staff.
Ati had demanded the bribe from the 4th Grade employee of the school for facilitating release of his second-phase house building loan.
Following the trap, simultaneous searches were carried out on the residential house of Ati at Banei in Sundargarh district, house at native village Kasada, Tikaetpali in Sundargarh and his office chamber.
Later, Ati was arrested and forwarded to court.
