Ranchi, Feb. 12 -- CPI Maoist carrying a reward of Rs 10 lakh has surrendered before Latehar SP Anjani Anjan on Sunday. The name of the Maoist has been given as Laldeep Ganjhu alias Kaltu alias Kartink.
Addressing a press meet at his office Anjan said that Laldeep had been carrying out Naxalite activities for decades. He said that he was carrying out violent activities by holding the post of zonal commander in the CPI Maoist squad. "A few days ago, the Government had announced a reward of Rs 10 lakh on this. Apart from Latehar district, criminal cases are also registered against Laldeep in Aurangabad and Madanpur districts of Bihar," he added.
Latehar SP also said that Laldeep had joined the Maoist organization in 2004. "He has a 20-year ...
