Gurugram, May 4 -- Actor turned politician Raj Babbar, who is contesting the Lok Sabha elections on a Congress ticket, on Friday filed his nomination papers for the Gurugram seat.

Babbar will be up against BJP candidate and union minister Rao Inderjit Singh and the Jannayak Janta party (JJP) candidate Rahul Yadav alias Fazilpuria. He was accompanied by senior Congress leader and former Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda and Congress Haryana President Chaudhary Uday Bhan while filing his nomination.

After submitting the affidavit, Babbar along with party leaders addressed a public rally at the Old Club Ground, Civil Lines where he urged the people to vote for him.
