Jammu, March 3 -- Aiming to score a hat-trick the Bharatiya Janta Party Saturday decided to field both the sitting members of Parliament from the Jammu region in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls 2024.

Names of Dr Jitendra Singh, sitting MP from the Doda-Udhampur Lok Sabha Seat, and Jugal Kishore Sharma from Jammu-Poonch Lok Sabha seat figured in the first list of 195 candidates released by the party high command in New Delhi after holding a series of back-to-back meetings.

Earlier, a list of probable candidates was submitted by the J&K Election committee to the party's high command for approval and consideration.

Dr Jitendra Singh won the 2014 Lok Sabha polls by defeating Congress stalwart Ghulam Nabi Azad by a margin of over 60,000 votes. I...
