NEW DELHI, Feb. 26 -- Amid a disturbing surge in human-animal conflicts nationwide, the Udanti Sitanadi Tiger Reserve in Chhattisgarh offers a glimmer of hope with no reported loss of human life due to wild animal attacks in the past year. Udanti and Sitanadi are two wildlife sanctuaries combined, covering a total area of 1842.54 square kilometres. It was declared a tiger reserve back in 2009.

Officials from the tiger reserve have attributed zero human-animal conflict to proactive measures implemented to mitigate such incidents and ensure the safety of both humans and wildlife.
