TACLOBAN CITY, April 23 -- The Philippine National Police (PNP) is reviewing its strategies in fighting illegal drugs as traders have already adapted to existing policies.

PNP chief Gen. Rommel Francisco Marbil said he has met with key officials from operations and intelligence to check areas for improvement.

"Our old strategy works, but traders are aware of it and they adapted to it. We must improve our campaign plan, focusing on sources and suppliers. Illegal drug traders have been changing their strategies," he told reporters during his visit here on Tuesday.

The PNP reported the seizure of 400 grams of shabu worth PHP2.7 million from a drug courier in Ormoc City, Leyte on April 18.
