CEBU CITY, May 1 -- Various agencies of government converged on Labor Day at the Talisay City sports complex to open the "Kadiwa ng Pangulo", which offered wide array of farm produce sold at cheaper price.

Mayor Gerald Anthony Gullas, who led regional directors of different government agencies in the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Kadiwa pop-up stores, in his speech, cited farmers' effort to ensure food security in Cebu.

He said the government recognizes their hard work by providing them with a platform to sell their produce directly to the buyers without any layers to ensure cheaper trading prices.
