ILOILO CITY, May 2 -- The Police Regional Office 6 (PRO6) will deploy 319 police officers in select areas in the region under the Revitalized Pulis sa Barangay (RPSB) program.

The police officers from the mobile forces completed the 12-day stringent RPSB training program that culminated on April 29.

"They will be staying in barangays so directly they can help with the concerns of the community and directly gather information in terms of peace and order and security," PRO 6 spokesperson Lt. Col. Arnel Solis said in an interview on Thursday.

The police regional office has started identifying areas for deployment that will include geographically isolated and disadvantaged areas (GIDAs), insurgency-cleared areas, and even urban areas where...
