Punjab, Jan. 31 -- On February 1, Finance Minister Nirmala Sithraman will deliver her budget for the sixth time in a row. She is about to accomplish a unique feat: after Morarji Desai, she would only be the second Finance Minister in the nation to have delivered the Union Budget for six years running.

Since July 2019, Ms. Sitharaman has led the finance ministry, becoming the nation's first full-time female finance minister. This will be her first Interim Budget; she has already delivered five complete budgets.

She will break the milestones set by her predecessors, including Manmohan Singh, Arun Jaitley, P Chidambaram, and Yashwant Sinha, who all presented five consecutive full budgets, after the Interim Budget is presented.
