Bhubaneswar, Feb. 29 -- Following omission from BCCI's Annual Player Contracts for Team India (senior men) for the 2023-24 season, chances of Ishan Kishan and Shreyas Iyer has become bleak for the upcoming 2024 T20 World Cup.

Despite featuring regularly in the Indian cricket team in recent times, the duo's sacking is being seen as a strong message by the BCCI for those who are ignoring domestic cricket. While Kishan was last part of the Test squad during India's Tour of South Africa in December, Iyer played the first two Tests of the ongoing series against England.
