Bhubaneswar, March 16 -- The Election Commission of India (ECI) on Saturday announced the much-awaited schedule for Lok Sabha elections. The dates of assembly elections in four states - Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, and Sikkim were also announced today.

The Lok Sabha elections will be held in sevenphases and the counting of votes will be held on June 4, 2024, informed the ECI at a press conference held in New Delhi today. With the announcement, the model code of conduct has come into effect.
