Bhubaneswar, April 22 -- Despite cloudy weather, the maximum temperature neared 44 degrees mark in Bhubaneswar on Monday. As per the IMD, the Capital city recorded the highest maximum or the day temperature of 43.8 degrees Celsius by 2:30 pm today.

Bhubaneswar was relatively hotter than other places in Odisha during this time period. Apart from Bhubaneswar, two other places in the state recorded maximum temperature above 40 degrees- Balasore (40.7) and Chandbali (40.4).
