India's import of vegetable oils, which includes both edible and non-edible oils, decreased by 13 per cent YoY in February to almost 9.75 lakh tonnes, according to data released by the Solvent Extractors' Association of India (SEA). Of the total imports, the import of edible oils fell to 9,67,852 tonnes last month from 10,98,475 tonnes in February 2023, while non-edible oil imports declined to 7,000 tonnes from 16,006 tonnes in the same period last year.
