Aizawl, Feb. 13 -- In a major blow to drug trafficking, officials of the Mizoram Excise and Narcotics Department seized 3.64 kilograms of heroin worth over Rs. 90 lakh during a raid in Aizawl's Khatla area on Tuesday morning.

The seized heroin, believed to be smuggled from Myanmar and destined for points beyond Mizoram, marks the largest drug haul in the state for the year 2024.

Acting on a tip-off, Excise and Narcotics officials intercepted a mini truck and upon inspection, discovered the concealed heroin.
