Guwahati, March 22 -- The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) on Thursday (March 21) organised a consumer outreach programme in Assam's Majuli district.

The programme, aimed at the telecom and broadcasting service consumers of the district, was designed to enlighten the customers about various initiatives undertaken by TRAI to safeguard their interests and the regulatory provisions available for consumer protection.

The event saw participation from diverse sections of the local community, with a special focus on college students.

Notable attendees included officers from the Assam Department of Telecommunications, representatives from the state government, various telecom service providers, and consumer advocacy groups.
