Guwahati, March 6 -- A police team in Karimganj, Assam seized a significant amount of ganja and apprehended two individuals near the state's border with Tripura.

Acting on a tip-off, the police police intercepted a truck near the Churaibari police watch post on Tuesday.

Upon inspection, a hidden compartment within the vehicle revealed 439 packets containing 1,317 kilograms of suspected ganja.

The authorities confirmed that the truck originated from Tripura and identified the arrested individuals as Balbir Singh and Vijay Kumar Singh.
