Afghanistan, April 24 -- Chinese media reported that Antony Blinken, the US Secretary of State, arrived in Shanghai today.

According to reports by Chinese media released today, Blinken is expected to meet with his Chinese counterpart and possibly with President Xi Jinping during this trip.

Media reports stated that earlier, the US State Department announced that Mr. Blinken would travel to Shanghai and Beijing on his trip on Wednesday.

The source had said that Blinken was expected to discuss with Chinese officials the "consequences of exporting materials with military applications to Russia."
