Afghanistan, April 25 -- Turkish media, citing Turkish officials, reported that over the past month, authorities in Edirne have detained 1,096 "illegal migrants," including Afghan citizens.

According to reports, these migrants were detained yesterday, Wednesday, April 24th, and were referred to the Edirne Migration Directorate.

Local authorities in Edirne stated that 54 of these individuals have been detained on charges related to human trafficking and drug trafficking.

It's worth noting that in recent months, the expulsion and detention of Afghan migrants from countries like Iran, Pakistan, and Turkey have increased.

According to reports, most of the detained migrants are citizens of Afghanistan and Pakistan.
