Afghanistan, Feb. 27 -- Officials from the Iranian Ministry of Justice said that over the past year, more than 1,100 Afghan prisoners have been transferred to Afghanistan to serve their sentences.

According to the Iranian news agency ISNA, the head of the transfer committee of the Ministry of Justice in Iran said that in the past year, 1,136 Afghan prisoners were transferred to Afghan prisons to continue their sentences. This Iranian official stated that since 2013, a total of 3,015 Afghan prisoners have been handed over to Afghan authorities at the common borders.
