Iran-linked Popular Mobilization Forces base near Baghdad hit by airstrike
Afghanistan, April 20 -- Sources within the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF), the militia group supported by the Islamic Republic, have reported an airstrike targeting the leadership of this group in southern Baghdad.
According to Reuters, citing two Iraqi security sources and sources close to the PMF, Iran-backed attacks took place on Friday night, April 19, in the Jurf al-Sakhar area in northern Babil province, Iraq.
Reports confirm two casualties and six injuries among the PMF forces in these attacks, as verified by sources in the Hilla hospital.
Meanwhile, sources close to the PMF have attributed the attacks to the United States, allegations that have been denied by the US.
