Afghanistan, April 30 -- International media have reported the deaths of nine Colombian soldiers as a result of a helicopter crash in the most unsafe region of the country, Bolivar Norte.

According to Gustavo Petro, the President of Colombia, media outlets reported that the military aircraft crashed yesterday, April 29th, while deploying fresh troops to combat drug trafficking gangs in the Bolivar Norte area.

The crashed military aircraft was reported to be a Russian-made Mi-17 helicopter, but no information has been provided yet about the cause of the crash.
