JHARKHAND HIGH COURT ISSUES ORDER ON NISHI DEVI V/S THE STATE OF JHARKHAND

RANCHI, India, March 22 -- Jharkhand High Court issued the following order on Feb. 22:

1. Heard Mr. Sahil, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. Nawin Kumar Singh, learned counsel for the State.

2. The petitioner is apprehending her arrest in connection with Majhiaon P.S. Case No.119 of 2022, registered under Section 406, 407, 409, 420 of the Indian Penal Code, pending in the Court of the learned A.C.J.M., Garhwa.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the allegations are made that the petitioner had received 12,953.46 quintal of paddy crops, however, 11,171.53 quintal of paddy crops was sent to the rice mill and lesser paddy crops is said to be 1,781.93.
