BJP's Suvendu Adhikari seeks West Bengal Governor's intervention to restore peace in Sandeshkhali
Kolkata, Feb. 10 -- West Bengal Opposition leader Suvendu Adhikari on Saturday sought Governor C V Ananda Bose's intervention into the volatile situation at Sandeshkhali in South 24 Parganas district and served a 24-hour ultimatum, saying if the internet services were not restored and Section 144 of CrPC not withdrawn, the BJP workers would hold a protest march on Monday.
Internet services have been snapped and an assembly of more than four people has been banned in West Bengal's Sandeshkhali in North 24 Parganas after a protest against absconding Trinamool Congress leader Sheikh Shahjahan and his aides turned violent, media reports said.
