Microsoft Expands Data Centre Footprint In India With Land Parcel Buyout Worth INR 267 Cr
India, May 7 -- Tech giant Microsoft Corporation has bought 48 acres of land in Hyderabad in a transaction valued at INR 267 Cr.
According to an ET report, the acquisition of the property was facilitated via Sai Balaji Developers, a land aggregator situated in Ranga Reddy district, as indicated in the document shared by data analytics firm Propstack.
"Microsoft has big plans to expand its data centre business and will be developing one of the biggest data centres in the region. The property is located about forty kilometres from the main city of Hyderabad, and the company paid a premium on the land," a person aware of the deal told ET.
