Manipur, May 4 -- Federation of Haomee (FoH) has observed May 3 as the second Indigenous Genocide Day, marking the conflict that shook Manipur, upended many innocent Meitei's lives and the state's security.

The event was held at FoH's office on Friday with federation president Sapamcha Jadumani chairing the programme, the federation stated in a release. FoH Kakching district also organised similar observance at Mantak village in presence of MK Mangte Kom and various other communities, it stated.

Allowing settlements of Chin Kuki Zo refugees in the state has had serious repercussions with them brewing war, ethnic cleansing from 1993-1997 in which many indigenous people of various communities have been allegedly killed, it stated. The gen...
