Japan wants PM to join Future of Asia conf in Japan
Dhaka, Jan. 20 -- Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen on Sunday said Japan wants Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's presence in the International Conference on the Future of Asia to be held this year in Japan.
Bangladesh also sought continued support from Japan to achieve its development goals and discussed ways to strengthen the relations between the two countries.
"We hope the relations between Bangladesh and Japan will be strengthened," Japanese Ambassador in Dhaka Hiroyasu Izumi told reporters after his meeting with Foreign Minister Dr Momen.
Terming Japan one of the best friends of Bangladesh', Minister Momen said they have been helping Bangladesh since the very beginning of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
