Bangladesh, Jan. 12 -- United Nations Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in Myanmar Yanghee Lee will arrive in Bangladesh on January 19 on a six-day visit to meet the Rohingya refuges in Cox's Bazar.

She will also visit Thailand, a neighbouring country of Burma, officially known as Myanmar, according to a press statement issued by the UN Human Rights on Friday.

The Myanmar government has maintained its decision to cease cooperation with the UN special rapporteur and refused her entry into Myanmar.

Ms Lee will visit Thailand from January 14 and then travel to Bangladesh on January 19. She will visit Dhaka and the refugee camps in Cox's Bazar, the statement added.

She also plans to visit the island of Bhashan Char.
