MYSURU, Feb. 15 -- Before the MCC Council meeting began yesterday, BJP Corporators led by leader of the Opposition B.V. Manjunath sat on a dharna outside the MCC office over the issue of dysfunctional streetlights in most pockets of the city, which left them plunged in darkness after dusk.
Highlighting the dangers that lack of streetlights posed to commuters, in addition to safety issues, the BJP Corporators informed the Council which met soon after, that citizens of Mysuru wanted this problem solved at the earliest so as to be able to travel at night with no fear.
