SARLAHI, Feb. 18 -- All community schools in Ishwarpur Municipality of Sarlahi remained closed on Sunday after some locals thrashed teachers of Janata Secondary School (JSS), Shreenagar.
Nepal Teacher's Association (NTA), Ishwarpur urged the community schools of the municipality to remain shut for a day after the teachers were attacked by some unknown people. On February 13, the school was celebrating Saraswati Puja when some students had a dispute over an issue. Taking advantage of the situation, few persons entered the school and attacked Principal Ramashesh Mahato and teacher Shreenarayan Mahato among others.
