India, Feb. 19 -- Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi has climbed to success in just few years of time. The company has garnered great response from its smartphones in India and it kickstarted 2019 in a style by launching Redmi Note 7, its first phone with 48MP rear camera.

Xiaomi's Product Director Wang Teng Thomas has hinted that the company could bring a pop-up camera phone in the near future. The pop-up camera was first introduced by Vivo in its Nex smartphones. Pop-up camera is technically a motorised mechanism fitted inside the phone's body that pops-up when you opt for selfies.

Thomas did not disclose as to when it will be launched officially.
