The government yesterday withdrew the security cover of Mirwaiz and four other separatist leaders.
On Twitter, AAC said since Monday morning hundreds of boys are swarming to register themselves for Mirwaiz Kashmir Umar Farooq's personal safety.
An AAC functionary said scores have been shortlisted to guard Mirwaiz and act as his security personnel.
Taking to Twitter, Mirwaiz said he was overwhelmed by the love and affection showered by the young men by volunteering themselves for the security cover.
