SRINAGAR, Feb. 18 -- In view of the inclement weather forecast, the Divisional administration in Kashmir has deferred reopening of colleges after winter vacations across the division.

Divisional Commissioner Baseer Ahmad Khan said all colleges across the Kashmir division scheduled to reopen tomorrow after winter vacations will now reopen on Thursday February 21.

He said the decision has been taken in view of the inclement weather forecast.

However, sources said that the decision was made not because of weather conditions but the volatile security situation in the state following Thursday's suicidal attack on highway in which more than 40 CRPF jawans were killed.
