India, Feb. 18 -- The nation is one in condemning the attack on the CRPF constables in which nearly 40 of them were killed. A vehicle, allegedly containing 100 kg of explosives, was rammed into a convoy of CRPF vehicles bringing the constables posted in the Valley after their leave. The vehicle was driven allegedly by a Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) operative.
No doubt, it is one of the worst terrorist attacks in recent times. Let it also be mentioned that terrorism is non-negotiable. This means that nothing can justify a terrorist attack. When the constables are returning to their base or their new place of posting after their annual leave, they are as good as civilians. To attack them is to attack civilians.
