Manipur, Feb. 20 -- As a part of the protests demanding the payment of due salaries for 14 months, staff of One-stop Centre, SAKHI closed down the office of the One-stop Centre from February 18.

The One-stop Centre is the first of its kind in the state and it was inaugurated on February 9, 2017 at Thoubal by the Social Welfare department, Manipur.

Speaking to media personnel regarding the issue at Thoubal DC complex where the office of the One Stop centre is located, a lawyer at the One-stop centre, Longjam Bonita stated that despite the withholding of the salaries of staff for more than 14 months, the centre has continually provided services to over 23 victims.
