JIRIBAM, Jan. 27 -- The Assam Indigenous Peoples Protection Committee (AIPPC) organised its 1st Convention on January 27 Sunday at Modhurapol, Rongpur at Silchar in Assam.
The convention was mainly focused on discussions on the disputed Citizenship (Amendment) Bill (CAB), 2016. Manmohan Barman of AIPPPC attended the event as president while several representatives from different indigenous based CVOs along with leaders of women, youths and students bodies from all across Assam and northeast attended as guests.
