Manipur, Feb. 18 -- A total of 179 rescued victims of human trafficking, who have been identified as Nepalese nationals, have left Manipur today. Chief minister, N. Biren handed them over to officials of Nepal Embassy led by its Counselor Prakash Adhikari in a formal occasion at Khuman Lampak Indoor Stadium.

While speaking with media, Prakash Adhikari expressed his thankfulness to Manipur government and other departments of Police, Customs, NGOs for rescuing the trafficked Nepalese nationals. He further expressed his appreciation and gratitude to the people of Manipur for the co-operation and hospitality of providing shelter homes.
