RANCHI, Jan. 10 -- The stage is set for the Global Skill Summit (GSS) in Ranchi's mega-sports complex, Hotwar, on Thursday. At the venue, the Jharkhand government will announce its claim of achieving the target of offering private sector employment to one lakh skilled young people.

The state government claims to have already given job letters to 92,000 young people in different trades, while about 15,000 are supposed to get their appointment letters during the global event, organised by the Jharkhand Skill Development Mission Society (JSDMS).

Jharkhand Governor Draupadi Murmu, Union petroleum and skill development minister Dharmendra Pradhan and chief minister Raghubar Das would be at the inaugural session of the summit.
