GHAZIABAD, Dec. 7 -- The Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association (UPCA) will start constructing the 75,000-seat international cricket stadium at Rajnagar Extension from January 15.
The stadium is proposed to be developed on 33 acres at a cost of over Rs 400 crore .
The Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA), since 2015, had been trying to make the stadium a reality and had helped the UPCA purchase land directly from farmers. In April this year, the CAG, during an audit, said the UPCA had to pay Rs 7.5 crore to the authority for facilitating the land deal.
