GREATER NOIDA, Dec. 7 -- Police arrested a 20-year-old student of a private university in Greater Noida for allegedly selling marijuana to his college mates, allegedly for "pocket money".

The accused has been identified as a native of Alwar in Rajasthan and is a first-year Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) student of the private university in Knowledge Park area of Greater Noida.

According to police, he was apprehended from outside the campus with 300 grams of marijuana. "We were tipped by an informant about a peddler operating near the college campus. The man was arrested with around 300 grams of marijuana," Arvind Pathak, SHO, Knowledge Park police station, said.
