JAMMU, Feb. 2 -- Union finance minister Piyush Goyal on Friday announced setting up of another All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Haryana.
The state already has a functional outreach outpatient department of AIIMS in Jhajjar district. The Jhajjar AIIMS also has a National Cancer Institute.
Goyal, in his interim budget address on Thursday, said the new Haryana AIIMS will be the 22nd in the country. Haryana medical education and research officials said the new AIIMS would be set up at Manethi village in Rewari district. It is expected to be set up on about 200 acres, they said.
