SHIMLA, Feb. 6 -- In more bad news for former Haryana chief minister Om Prakash Chautala's Indian National Lok Dal (INLD), its 10-month old ally, the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) on Monday indicated that it may snap ties with the party for the forthcoming Lok Sabha and assembly elections in Haryana.

State BSP president Prakash Bharti said BSP supremo Mayawati was on Monday briefed about the emerging political scenario in the state following the humiliating defeat of the INLDBSP candidate in the Jind assembly bypoll and ramifications of the Chautala family feud. The INLD-BSP candidate Umed Singh Redhu finished a poor fifth securing just about 3,400 votes in the bypoll.
