MOHALI, Jan. 26 -- On way to pick her children from a tuition class, the 40-year-old wife of a policeman was killed after being hit by a car at Sector 77 traffic lights in Mohali on Thursday. The victim has been identified as Urmila Khattana of Sector 70, Mohali. The victim is wife sub-inspector Suraj Khattana, who is posted with the wireless wing of Punjab DGP's office in Sector 9, Chandigarh. As per police Urmila was riding a scooter and going to pick her children from a tuition class, when a Ford Figo car hit her from behind. Urmila fell on the road and sustained head injuries. She was rushed to IVY Hospital in Sector 70, Mohali, where she was declared dead. Police have booked and arrested the driver of Ford Figo, identified as Nilab Singh of Sangrur. He was on his way to Sangrur when the accident took place. A case under Sections 279, 304 A, 427 of the IPC has been registered at Sohana police station....
