India, Jan. 11 -- The Delhi police have arrested a 57-year-old commerce graduate for allegedly duping at least 1,500 people of over Rs 3 crore on the pretext of providing them low-cost houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna (PMAY). The man had created a website - https://www.nhdoindia.org - and was using the pictures of the Prime Minister and the Union minister of housing and urban poverty alleviation to lure his victims, police said.

The accused, identified as Rajinder Kumar Tripathi who is a resident of Sector-31, Faridabad, was running a trust - National Housing Development Organisation (NHDO) -- from Nehru Place.
