NEW DELHI, Dec. 7 -- Raghuvendra Tanwar, an expert of modern Indian history and author of a book on the life of late Hindutva ideologue Veer Damodar Savarkar, Umesh Kadam, dean of Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), have been included in the newly constituted Indian Council of Historical Research (ICHR), officials said on Thursday.

Meenakshi Jain, who teaches history at Gargi College, Hansraj College's Saradendu Mukherjee, who are both known to be critics of leftist influence in academics, also found a place in the reconstituted 18-member team, a list of which was accessed by Hindustan Times. Both colleges are affiliated to Delhi University.
