NEW DELHI, Dec. 6 -- Traders of Khan Market said that it would be unfair to blame them for encroachment alone as till date the civic agency has failed to formulate any standard building plan for establishing commercial units in market.

Sanjeev Mehra, president of the Khan Market Traders' Association said, "After the Delhi High Court's order in 2004, the civic agency allowed conversion of residential property into commercial units in Khan Market and collected misuse charges. But, no heed was paid for finalising any standardise plans for commercial buildings, which would be specific to the amount of area that can be use for commercial purposes."
