PANJIM, Feb. 16 -- Paying homage to the late Francis D'Souza at his residence at Mapusa, Goa Forward Party president Vijai Sardesai said he is willing to back Joshua, son of the leader.

Speaking to reporters outside D'Souza's residence, Sardesai said, "Francis was a man who believed in simple living and high thinking. He could sense the pulse of the people. He has won hearts of the people. His legacy should be preserved. His son should take it forward."

He added, "Francis has done good work for the citizens of Mapusa and his legacy should be carried forward by his son Joshua."
